Lauren McEwen has always had a passion for working with children and realizes how important it is to advocate for and make sure their needs are met. When she found the posting for the educational coordinator position at the Masonic Children’s Home, she felt that it was a perfect fit.

Miatta, age 7, from Reading, PA, arrived at the Masonic Children’s Home in July. She initially felt shy and unsure, as it was the first time she had been away from her parents, but thanks to her cottage mates and house parents, she's starting to feel at home.

Jesse Goranson has a lot of people to thank. During his time at the Masonic Children’s Home, alum Jesse met and was mentored by several individuals who he said helped shape the person he is today.

It doesn’t matter if a child at the Masonic Children’s Home is in the transition process of their first week at the children’s home or their first week in college; Donna Shaffer, educational coordinator, is eager to tackle each educational step along the way.
